    Bigby Street Dental Practice Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire Audit June 2017

    The practice carries out an audit of patient satisfaction questionnaires every four months and below are the findings of this audit.

    Random patients from each dentist were asked to complete the questionnaire and they are then audited to look at any areas we need to address to improve our services to our patients.

    The audit showed very positive results again highlighting that standards we provide are being maintained and improved in some areas.

    It also highlighted some areas which we need to address to help raise standards achieved in all areas audited.

    Some comments were made on the completed questionnaires. The comments were:
    • I was very happy with my treatment today.
    • All the treatment I have had at this surgery has been excellent and well carried out and organised.
    • All very good. Thank you.
    • Very good dentist. Always was scared but not now. Thanks.
    The areas which we are addressing are:
    • The percentage of patients who completed the questionnaire who said they were given advice about their oral health had fallen to 52% on this audit. We will discuss this in our next staff meeting to address why this percentage has dropped and ask all dentists to ensure all patients are given oral health advice within their examination appointment.
    • The percentage of patients who said they would know who to contact if they had a dental emergency outside normal hours has risen slightly on this audit to 48% from 44% on the previous audit. We will discuss this in our next staff meeting. The information is already displayed in both waiting rooms, in our patient leaflet, in the front window of the practice, on our answerphone and on our website.
