Important Information Regarding our practice and Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The practice is open during normal opening hours for dental services but we are still prioritizing patients with the most urgent needs and phasing in routine dental treatment when able to do so.
Before being offered an appointment a pre-assessment form will need to be completed for every patient which includes screening for Covid-19 symptoms and assessing if a patient falls into the vulnerable or at risk category so appropriate appointments can be made.
Patients will be asked to pay contactless or card machine payment where possible.
On visiting the practice there will be many changes in place. Consideration will be given to patient flow through the practice and keeping limited patients in the practice at one time.
We still need to act cautiously to stop the spread of the virus. The delta variant is more transmissible, and people visiting health premises may be contagious without knowing. Many people are still not fully vaccinated, so cutting virus transmissions is still important. Health premises are a higher risk environment and we need to maintain some control measures to keep everyone safe.
The practice door will be open during surgery hours but we are still asking patients to contact us by telephone where possible rather than attending the practice to book appointments. We are still carrying out telephone triaging and completing risk assessments for patients when booking appointments.
Patients will be asked to wear a face mask on entering the practice, unless they are exempt. They will also be asked to arrive at the practice at their appointment time, not to arrive early and attend on their own where possible. Patients will also be asked not to bring any unnecessary belongings with them.
On entering the practice you will be asked to use the provided hand sanitiser. After checking in at reception you will be asked to take a seat in the waiting room adhering to social distancing measures.
Patients will notice that staff may look different to normal as more PPE is being worn and also acrylic screens have been put in place at reception. On completion of your treatment you will be asked to use the hand gel provided and put your face mask back on. You will then be asked to report back to reception.
Our priority is the safety of our patients and staff and ensuring we have the correct protocols in place.
