Important Information Regarding our practice and Coronavirus (COVID-19)
As from 23rd June 2020 we will be open during normal opening hours for dental services but we are prioritizing patients with the most urgent needs and phasing in routine dental treatment when able to do so. The practice will be contacting patients who are on our waiting list by phone. Before being offered an appointment a pre-assessment form will need to be completed for every patient which includes screening for Covid-19 symptoms and assessing if a patient falls into the vulnerable or at risk category so appropriate appointments can be made. The relevant paperwork will be posted out to patients to complete prior to their appointment and returned to the practice in an envelope when they attend for their appointment. Patients will be asked to pay in advance over the phone , or where this is not possible, contactless or card machine payment. If a patient wants to pay by cash they will be asked to put the correct amount in a sealed envelope. On visiting the practice there will be many changes in place. Consideration will be given to patient flow through the practice and only patients with pre-arranged appointments who have been asked to attend will be admitted to the practice. The practice door will be kept locked except for when admitting a patient who has an appointment. Any patient will be able to contact the practice during surgery hours by telephone and we are still carrying out telephone triaging. Please contact the practice on 01652 653163 if you have a dental emergency. Patients will be asked to arrive at the practice at their appointment time and not to arrive early, attend on their own where possible, and asked to use their own toilet facilities before attending. Patients will also be asked not to bring any unnecessary bags with them as they will be asked to put their belongings into an allocated box before they enter the surgery. On arriving at the practice you will be asked to use the provided sanitiser, have your temperature taken using a non-contact thermometer and asked to wear a face mask. You will then be escorted into the surgery. There will be no patients in the waiting rooms, but if there is social distancing should be in place and we would ask that it be respected. Patients will notice that staff may look different to normal as more PPE is being worn and also acrylic screens have been put in place at reception. On completion of your treatment you will be asked to use the hand gel provided and put their face mask back on. You will then be escorted out of the surgery, collect your belongings and escorted out of the practice. Our priority is the safety of our patients and staff and ensuring we have the correct protocols in place.
